The Miami County Department of Development administers county land use, building and zoning for the unincorporated area of Monroe Township. County zoning is authorized by Chapter 303 of the Ohio Revised Code. This office is responsible for overseeing all land use activities, review and issuance of zoning permits, and the investigation and abatement of violations.
This department strives to provide quality service assistance information and inspections in relation to residential and commercial construction in Miami County with the goal of protecting the health, safety and welfare of the consumer, the general public, the owners and occupants of residential and commercial buildings within Miami County.
